“I was warned about you, you know.”
And with that half-smile that wrecked me, Noah said, “But you’re here anyway.”

Goodreads Synopsis: Mara Dyer believes life can’t get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.

It can.

She believes there must be more to the accident she can’t remember that killed her friends and left her strangely unharmed.

There is.

She doesn’t believe that after everything she’s been through, she can fall in love.

She’s wrong.

My Review:    (100% SPOILER-FREE)

4.25/5 STARS

Let me just start with the fact that I have never read anything like this book… and I’ve read A LOT of books. Specifically, I’ve never read a paranormal book before. However, I absolutely LOVED it! I was obsessed with the fact that you never knew what was actually happening and what was just a figment of Mara’s imagination.

Then there are the characters!!!!! Mara is empathetic and snarky and awesome and NOAH…. listen people, I’m gay and even I’m swooning over this guy. He is so perfectly witty and charming and wonderful. The dialogue throughout the book is just brilliant and is really what kept me hooked.

I know this is a short review, but now on to my last point: the mystery. This book had me completely hooked from the start just because I wanted to know SO BADLY what was happening with Mara. Mysterious murders????? Weird ghost-like vibes?? YES. That’s all I have to say. If you love romance and mystery, read this book asap. I’m obsessed.

Thank you so much for reading my review! I really hope you enjoyed, and if you want to chat about this, feel free to comment! 🙂
