“It’s the beautiful moments like this that make up for the ugly love”
– Colleen Hoover, Ugly Love
Synopsis: When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.
Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.
They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.
Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.
My Review: 5/5 stars
Once again, where do I begin?
I’ll start with the fact that this is the first Colleen Hoover book I’ve ever read, and I was NOT disappointed! I absolutely love her writing style and found that the way she had the chapters switch between present day Tate and Miles from 6 years earlier, helped me to connect with the character more.
Now, I thought I was a goner. I thought this book was going to leave me a mess of tears and disappointment. However, I ADORED the ending, and the book as a whole. This book made me feel so many emotions and made me SOO happy at some points. The relationship between Miles and Tate literally had me SQUEALING at some points.
Overall, this very quickly became one of my favorite books I’ve ever read, absolutely everyone should do themselves a favor and read this book! 🙂
Thank you for this review! I am planning to read Ugly Love for so long and now I just realise that I have to do it as soon as possible !
